Recently Colourpop and a very popular beauty blogger named Karen AKA Iluvsarahii on Instagram came out with a collaboration which included 2 Pressed Powder Palettes, 3 Liquid Lipsticks and 3 corresponding lip liners. Earlier this year I actually had the chance to meet her which made her launch way more personal for me, she was so sweet in person and her makeup was on fleek, duh!

The entire collection comes with 2 Pressed Shadow Palettes, 3 liquid lipsticks and 3 matching lip pencils which you can purchase from the Colourpop website at $60

Both palettes ($AUCEY and Chic-y) retail for $18 and come with four shades

There are 3 liquid lipsticks in the collection which you can buy in a bundle for $15 or separately for $6 each and 3 matching lip pencils for $5 each

Curvii (Ultra Glossy) - A sparkly light peachy nude in a creme finish

951 (Ultra Satin) - A mid-tone warm nude

Mamacita (Ultra Matte) - A deepened burgundy

$AUCEY comes with 2 matte shades and 2 shimmer shades (Plum)

Chic-y comes with 3 matte shades and 1 shimmer shade (Brown)

In todays blog I'm going to focus on the $AUCEY palette because that is the only one I have as of right now.

The palette comes with a slip cover, has a very good quality palette with a magnetic top and comes with 4 shadows.

Colors:

Heavy Glam - A vibrant duo chrome orange with a pink flip

Chic Happens - A matte cool tone mauve

Lit - A vibrant metallic purple

Razy - A matte blackened plum

My first impression while swatching these was a little disappointing, all of the shadows took about 3-5 layers to build to the opacity that you see in the pictures. Even with spraying the metallic shades with a setting spray.

However my initial impression changed after applying these onto the eyes, these shadows are very buildable which means, for those of us whose eyeshadow application is a little shaky (ME lol), there is less chance of completely wrecking your eyeshadow from applying too much eyeshadow or too pigmented a shade.

1. Using a fluffy blending brush apply Chic Happens to crease as a transition

2. Next apply a little bit of Razy to the outer corner and blend inwards right underneath the transition

3. Use the shade Lit on a packing brush and spritz with any setting spray and apply all over the lid

4. Complete the look with winged liner and some lashes!

Here is a picture of the completed look, hope you guys enjoyed this review!
